Van der Spuy upholsterers was founded in 1938 by Andrew Lutter Van der Spuy and has since developed from a one man show to a company with more than 20 employees.

The company gives special attention to every client, and every job is considered important no matter how big or small.

After the death of the founder Andrew, his son Daniel Josif Van der Spuy took ownership of the business. With his expert knowledge of the industry, reupholstering of furniture and the vision to expand the business, he started to do work in related fields,
which included motor trimming, blinds, curtaining, headboards, pelmets, ottomans,designers and custom- made furniture. The company is now owned by the 3rd generation of Van der Spuys` since it was founded.

Otto builds a close relationship with the tradesmen in the business, and even expanded to such a level that they are making furniture for 3 different companies, each with their own styles and specifications. We do exclusive leather furniture and also stock material of more than 50 fabric houses.

Motor trimming brought a very wide range of extra products such as upholstering of motor seats In either genuine or imitation leather, door panels, mats or roof linings as well as gun bags, tents and canvas canopies for bakkies and custom made covers for outdoor use and boats.
